DFP Research Half Day 2026

The Department Research Half Day aims to showcase ongoing and completed research initiatives, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and highlight innovative projects that align with the department’s strategic goals. This event provides a space for faculty, staff, and learners to exchange ideas, gain feedback, and identify opportunities for future research partnerships. It will include two research capacity building sessions and a research poster showcase.

Poster Presentation

Structure:

  • The poster presentation is virtual, we are organizing 2-3 zoom breakout rooms, each in a videoconferencing room in DHCC.
  • Virtual participants can pick a breakout room to go to. In-person participants can go to the physical room where the poster will be shown on screen.
  • There will be a moderator in each room to make sure the posters are on the screen. The moderator will also relay all questions – received via chat, call, and in-person – to the presenters.
  • Depending on the total number of posters we receive, each room will be set up with 3 or 4 posters. This means each poster in the room to be displayed on the screen for 5 – 10 minutes, and folks can ask the presenters questions virtually.
  • Poster will be available on this page for virtual viewing on the day of the event, and after.
