The Department is proud to recognize Dr. Caroline Shooner as the recipient of the February Cedar Award. Dr. Shooner is a family physician and GP oncologist. Dr Shooner is the educational lead at Haida Gwaii Hospital, responsible for both medical students and residents rotating at the remote, rural site.

Dr. Pawluk is the director of Care of the Elderly and a clinical assistant professor who specializes in geriatric addictions and emergency medicine on Vancouver Island.
