Congratulations to Department of Family Practice Post Graduate Program Director Dr. Josh Greggain on being awarded a 2025 Rural Long Service Award by the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC).
The Rural Long Service Award recognizes physicians who live and work in rural Canada and who have served rural communities for 20 or more years. Physicians must have been members of the SRPC for the last 5 consecutive years and previously received the Rural Service Award.
“Across rural and remote communities, physicians continue to provide outstanding care, often in demanding and resource-limited environments. These awards honour individuals whose work reflects the core values of rural medicine—clinical excellence, leadership, mentorship, community involvement, and a deep commitment to service. Each year, we are inspired by their achievements and proud to share and celebrate their contributions,” says Dr. Gabe Woollam, Chair of the SRPC Nominations and Awards Committee.
Join us in congratulating Dr. Greggain on this inspiring milestone.
