May Cedar Award: Dr. Morgan Price

This month, Dr. Morgan Price is the recipient of the Cedar Award. Dr. Sarah Fletcher nominated him because his “leadership and mentorship across our team is really wonderful. We have worked to build the ISU as a high functioning, distributed and self-managing team and this would not be possible without Morgan’s leadership I and the team at the ISU would love to nominate him for all the things.”

Morgan is an associate professor at the Island Medical Program and the associate head of the Department of Family Practice (research and innovation). He is the director of the BC Primary Care Innovation Support Unit (ISU) where he supports the team-based primary care changes in BC.

Morgan’s research areas include: action research, design science, user experience, systems and software engineering, and adoption of clinical information systems.

When he is not working, Morgan makes board games with his son—12 so far! He applies this sense of play to everything he does and has just created the “Team Mapping Card Game” as part of the ISU suite of tools.

Congratulations, Morgan!
