The month of June is National Indigenous History Month, with June 21st being National Indigenous Peoples Day.
It is a time to listen and to learn about the true history of Indigenous Peoples on whose lands we have the privilege of living, working and playing.
Settler Canadians within UBC’s Department of Family Practice may commemorate National Indigenous History Month by committing to learning about the history and ongoing legacy of colonization of Indigenous Peoples on these lands and the roles we have in unraveling that legacy within UBC, our healthcare system, and in our personal lives.
